We believe that if a company’s got the resources for it then they should absolutely cater to every demographic.
This is what drove us to develop The Authentic Crinkle™. We were obsessed with finding—and perfecting!—that ‘unsized’ fit: swimwear that would mould to multiple silhouettes.
Curves, lines, dips—it doesn’t matter. We wanted to create something that would flatter a wide range of body types.
We know that most (if not all) one-size-fits-all gimmicks are really just that; gimmicks.
We don’t claim that The Authentic Crinkle™ is the magical exception.
But it’s pretty darn close.

Aside from body inclusivity and diversity, we wanted people to feel comfortable in our swimwear. We focused on the feeling of being hugged and supported. Sort of like wearing a soft, worn sweater, only a tad bit skimpier (and water-wicking).

Knit from premium European fibres and artisanally hand-made, our custom fabric blend stretches and seamlessly accommodates any body shape.
It doesn’t roll, it doesn’t bunch, and it certainly doesn’t pinch! Stay cool and dry as you lounge in the afternoon sun or alternate between the sand and surf—the Mara won’t mind!

Built with locally-sourced regenerated fibres, knitted in London, and then sent to Australia to be hand-cut and crafted, our pieces have stories. And those stories set them apart.
Our cuts are unique; our colour combinations inspired.
Unsized swimwear + regenerated fibres equal minimal excessive stock and maximum sustainability.
By designing this way, we avoid having to source several hundred pounds extra of fabric just to offer (and thus manufacture) multiple sizes. This means 80% of our stock is reused fabric cut-offs and nylon derived from pre-consumer raw materials.
While we believe that there’s always room to grow, learn, and improve, we’re pretty delighted with where The Authentic Crinkle™ fabric is right now. The innovation has opened the door to further possibilities in sustainable, functional, and body-inclusive swimwear design.
